Water Park Opens and Celebrates with a Fireworks Spectacular
DENVER, CO (May 24, 2016) – Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park will make two big splashes this Memorial Weekend with the opening of its Island Kingdom Water Park as well as a fireworks spectacular. On Saturday, May 28, the water park opens for the summer season through Labor Day. With a huge array of water attractions including thrilling speed slides for thrill seekers, exciting raft rides for families, the lazy river for laid back sun bums and private cabanas for taking it all in, this major, broad-appeal water park is a tropical experience in Downtown Denver.

In honor of Memorial Day, the park will light up the Downtown Denver skyline with its annual fireworks show on Sunday, May 29. Families can enjoy the holiday by spending the entire day in Colorado’s only combination theme and water park riding coasters, cruising down water slides and feasting on all sorts of park goodies, savory and sweet. Then, after a memorable day of family fun, end it in amazement as the night comes to a close with a fireworks spectacular at 10pm.
This season Elitch’s boasts more concerts, more dive-in movies and more special events than ever before! Guests can dance the night away at any of nine rocking concerts or float in the wave pool to the sights and sounds of family fun flicks on the big screen. This year’s concert series takes off with a special performance by The Purple Xperience on June 4th, the #1 Prince tribute band in the world, and continues all summer long with concerts like Sabrina Carpenter, Rachel Platten, Echosmith, Daya, Shawn Hook, Skillet, and others.
