Elitch Gardens Debuts Cirque Innosta Bosque and IGNIGHT for 2011

ELITCH GARDENS DEBUTS “CIRQUE INNOSTA BOSQUE” AND “IGNIGHT” FOR 2011

New Live Shows, Nightly Fireworks and Eight Concerts are all Free with Park Admission

DENVER, CO (May 23, 2011) – This summer, Elitch Gardens’ storied Trocadero Theater will be home to Cirque Innosta “Bosque,” an awe-inspiring display of beauty, agility, strength and grace.  Four additional live shows, including “IGNIGHT” – a nightly conflagration of color, sound, light and fire – will punctuate the end of fun-filled summer days in downtown Denver.

Award-winning producers from Manhattan Creative Group have brought together some of the most amazing local, national and international performers from around the world and right here in Denver to create Cirque Innosta “Bosque.”  This original production features colorful sets, theatrical lighting, inspiring music and enchanting costumes. “Bosque” will run three times daily weaving a beautiful tale of agility, strength, grace and acrobatics.  Inside the world of “Bosque” everything is possible.

Elitch Gardens’ guests will want to stay late to experience “IGNIGHT,” the nightly show that celebrates the end of a thrilling day.  Each day before park closing, a powerful story of imagination will come to life as color, light, and fire wash through Elitch Gardens’ Main Street.  Shifting from eye-level, to the stage, to rooftops, to the sky, “IGNIGHT” will bathe guests in super-saturated fire, light and excitement.

Created just for kids, Hip HopSicals Live!, starring Johnny Rocket Pop and Drumstick Darla, gets kids in the groove.  Johnny, Darla and their wacky friends teach kids how to create music and rhythm through fun rock n’ roll songs that Mom and Dad might like too.

An all-female percussion group, the Bang Bangs, will keep things thumping throughout the day as they turn just about anything into an instrument and get guests into the act.  Strolling through the park, Presto the magician will inspire awe with his tricks and illusions.  All five live shows run daily from May 28 through September 5.

Cranking up the summertime heat, Elitch Gardens’ free in-park concert series kicks off June 4 with Mike Posner and his chart-busting single “Cooler than Me.”  A total of eight concerts bring acts like Miranda Cosgrove, Big Time Rush, Third Day and Thousand Foot Krutch to Denver’s only family-friendly concert venue.

All five shows and all eight concerts are free with park admission.  At just $69.99, an Elitch Gardens Season Pass includes unlimited visits to the theme park, water park and all special events including Fright Fest.  Season Passes and one-day tickets are available online at www.elitchgardens.com or by calling 303 595-4386.

“With the debut of Cirque Innosta Bosque and Ignight, Elitch Gardens is adding a spectacular live entertainment package to our great collection of thrill rides,” said Tracy Durham, Elitch Gardens Director of Marketing.  “In planning both our live shows and concerts, our objective was to book performers that would be exciting for kids and adults alike.”
